The San Francisco Bay Area has been plagued by minor to severe seismic activity throughout recorded time. We cannot predict when seismic activity will occur, however we can prepare our homes to resist these natural forces ad thus minimize potential future damage.

Dobel Construction Inc. will provide a thorough foundation inspection and make recommendations as to foundation cracks, foundation settlement, and/or foundation replacement. We can also provide recommendations for the need for seismic upgrade i.e., foundation bolting and earthquake retrofitting to bring the home to U.B. C. (Uniform Building Code) standards. It should be noted that one half of all homes we inspect for foundation bolting are already bolted and no additional work is required!

Foundation inspections are unique in a sense that every foundation is quite different from the next. No two ever being alike and consequently, what works for one will not necessarily work for the other. Our foundation correction experience enables us to make the right recommendation the first time using a common sense approach. Our finished report will address the problems and suggest solutions in a formal proposal including preliminary drawings.
