The
most common problem we encounter on the Peninsula
is water intrusion or moisture in the crawl area
of the dwelling. The second most common problem
we see is water coming through retaining walls,
and lastly is exterior ponding water.
Water
in a crawl area often compromises the structural
integrity of the dwelling’s foundation and
can cause health risks, particularly when mold develops.
In
expansive soils (clay), contraction and expansion
through the seasonal changes can cause cracking
of drywall or plaster, doors to stick, interior
floors to buckle, and other associated problems.
In many cases, moisture enters the dwelling through
the floor promoting substantial mold growth on the
exterior walls.
There
are usually several options to mitigate unwanted
water, from perimeter drainage systems to sump pumps
(including battery back-up pump systems). DoBel
Construction Inc. is a full service company,

cause of the problem, and provide you with a solution.
